DOUG WENDEL - HEAD COACH

 

Coach Wendel has been married to Kara for 18 years.  Kara is the principal at the new Jean Coleman Elementary and Testing Coordinator for MISD this year.  They have 4 kids - Drew, Beau, Delaney, and Brynn.  Doug started his career in Plano and was an assistant in Carrollton and Lake Highlands before accepting the Head Coach / Athletic Director job in (3a) Eustace Tx.  Prior to his arrival Eustace had not made the playoffs in a decade.  He led Eustace to the playoffs 3 consecutive years.  In 2011, the Wendel's moved to (5a) Ardmore Oklahoma.  Ardmore made the playoffs all four year's Coach Wendel was there and advanced to the semi-finals twice.  Coach Wendel came to Midlothian in the spring of 2015 and thoroughly enjoys the school, community, and especially the student athletes at Midlothian High School.  Under his guidance the Panthers have had 3 winning seasons  in a row.

Phillip Paramore - Varsity Defensive Backs

 

Coach Paramore has been married for 6 years to his beautiful wife Ginny Paramore, who is a graduate from Midlothian High School.  They have one amazing baby girl who just turned 2 and her name is Gwynevere.  Coach Paramore graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in Composite Social Studies.  He began teaching and coaching in 2011 at Denton High School where he met his wife!  He is returning for his second year at Midlothian and can not wait to see how the Lord continues to work.  Coach Paramore and his wife are so thrilled to be a part of the Midlothian family and community and love the kids and staff they have had an opportunity to meet and share life with.

Robert Irwin - Varsity Defensive Ends

 

Robert Irwin is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University where he majored in Political Science and spent four years in the Corps of Cadets. Coach Irwin is entering his 12th year in coaching. He previously coached varsity football at Vandegrift and Duncanville High Schools before joining the Midlothian staff. He is entering his 5th year at Midlothian as the Varsity Defensive Line Coach. Coach Irwin is the proud father of 4 boys; Ethan (10), Zander (8),Robbie (5), & Jameson (<1). The great honor of his life is being married to his adoring wife, Jessica Irwin.

Dean Young – Varsity Defensive Backs

 

Coach Young is entering his 5th year coaching, and this will be his 1st year coaching at Midlothian High School. He previously coached varsity football at Weatherford High School before joining the staff at Midlothian. Before coaching, he worked on the football equipment staff at Texas Christian University, where he graduated in 2017 with a degree in Kinesiology. Coach Young has been married to his wife Kelsey for 3 three years, and they are expecting their first Panther child in 2022!

Joshua Sooter - Varsity Defensive Tackles

 

Coach Sooter is entering his 14th year of coaching, the last 10 being at MHS.  He played tight end at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA for one season before transferring to Texas Tech University where he played defensive line.  He graduated with a degree in Art.  After college he was fortunate enough to play three years of arena football.  Coach Sooter has been married to his wife Kelly for ten years, and has two sons Connor (4) and Jackson (2).

Steven Lemley – Defensive Coordinator

 

Steven Lemley is entering 5th year at Midlothian HS.  Coach Lemley has been teaching and coaching for 21 years.

Mike Crumbaker – Offensive Coordinator

 

Coach Mike Crumbaker, is entering his 7th year at Midlothian High school as the offensive coordinator. Before joining the staff at Midlothian, Coach Crumbaker coached at Burleson Centennial for three years, and began his career at Ennis High School. Coach Crumbaker graduated from Brevard College where he was a member of the football team and graduated with a degree in mathematics. He and his wife Jordan have two children Zoe 10 and Carter 8.

Randall Vincent - Varsity Wide Receivers

 

Randall Vincent is entering his 2nd year of coaching after starting his career at Salado HS. He  grew up in Grand Prairie, TX and graduated from Irving High School in 2015. He then went on to play football for Hardin Simmons University where he graduated with a degree in English. During his time at HSU he also helped as a student assistant coach on the defensive side of the ball. He is thrilled to be a part of the Midlothian family and is excited to get Panther football going!

Brett Curbo – Varsity Offensive Line

 

Brett Curbo grew up in Hillsboro, Texas. 2021 will be his 9th year teaching and 7th at Midlothian High. He teaches English and coaches football and basketball. Before coming to Midlothian High, Brett taught at Hillsboro High. 

 

Brett graduated from Abilene Christian University and received his master’s degree from Tarleton State University.

Ryan Landrum – Varsity Fullbacks & Special Teams/Head JV Coach

 

Ryan Landrum is the Fullbacks coach, leads the Special Teams, and Head Junior Varsity coach at Midlothian High School. Coach Landrum is entering his 10th year of coaching, 7th at MHS. He graduated from: Copperas Cove High School (2008), Stephen F. Austin State University (2012) B.S in Biology, and Texas A&M – Commerce (2019) M.S. in Athletic Administration. In March 2018, he married the love of his life Kristen, & they welcomed their first child in June, a son named Riley Daniel.

Brett Barnes – Varsity Slots

 

Coach Brett Barnes is entering his 7th year at Midlothian High School.  Barnes is currently the varsity running backs coach and teaches World Geography.  He also coaches wrestling at Frank Seale Middle School.  Barnes graduated from Texas A&M at Commerce and is married to Natalie Barnes.  They have one son, Drew (10), and two daughters, Bobbie (7) and Charlie (3).

Corey Anderson – Director of Athletic Performance

 

Corey is entering his 17th year coaching Strength & Conditioning.  He graduated from Texas State University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Exercise Science, and 2007 with a Masters of Physical Education.  His coaching career started at Texas State as a Graduate Assistant, then to Valdosta State University (Valdosta, Georgia), and then James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Virginia).  He entered the High School ranks at Burleson High School, and now is currently starting his 6th year as the Director of Athletic Performance at Midlothian High School.  He resides in Midlothian with his wife of 10 years, Shelby, and has three boys Colby (7), Connor (5), Colin (3).

Clif White – Head Freshman Coach / Offensive Line & Defensive Line

 

Coach White graduated from Venus High in 2004 and University of North Texas in 2008 with a degree in Kinesiology. He is entering his 15th year coaching.  Before coming to Midlothian, Coach White was at Palmer High school where he coached Defensive Backs, QBs and Running Backs.

 

He has been married to his wife Meagan for 12 years and they have two children Maverick (7) and Riggins (5).   Has two dogs Goose and Gretchen.

Ryan Rodgers – Freshman Slots & Defensive Line 

 

Ryan Rodgers is entering his 18th year of coaching at MHS. He is coaching slots and defensive ends for the Freshmen. 

 

Coach Rodgers graduated from Midlothian High School in 1999.   Coach Rodgers attended Howard Payne University where he played baseball and earned a degree in Business. 

 

Coach Rodgers is married to his wife, Amanda, and they have two children, Cooper (9) and Collins (7)

Justin Hastings – Freshman Inside Linebackers & Wide Receivers 

 

Coach Hastings is in his 5th year at Midlothian where he teaches social studies and coaches football and baseball.  A native of West Texas, Justin was born and raised in Hamlin, Texas where he graduated from Hamlin High School.  After playing junior college baseball and being employed outside of education, he followed his lifelong calling of teaching and coaching.  A graduate of Texas Tech University, he and his wife Chelsea (a CPA in Fort Worth) are excited to be welcoming their first child, a baby girl, this fall.

Scott Sullivan – Freshman Quarterbacks, Fullbacks & Safety's

 

Coach Sullivan is entering his 4th year in the coaching and teaching profession and his third in Midlothian. He and his fiance , Angela Aguilar, are both back in the metroplex near where they grew up.  Coach Sullivan and his now fiance, Angela Aguilar, got engaged this summer while on vacation. Coach Sullivan graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and carried a secondary teaching field in English. They are happy to be close to family and enjoy being able to once again see and enjoy his dad and Stepmom, Brian and Cathy Sullivan, in the stands on game day.

John Allen - Freshman Offensive Line & Outside Linebackers

 

Coach Allen is beginning his second year at Midlothian High School coaching and teaching science.  Entering his 34th year in education and coaching football, Coach Allen has been around the DFW area for the last 25 years working at the middle, high school and small college levels. Prior to arriving in Texas, Allen coached and taught in Missouri and Iowa and GA’d at South Dakota State University.   John and his wife Tamara have three daughters, one son-in-law and one grandson.  The Allen’s have lived in the Midlothian area for fifteen years.  Coach Allen graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, MO, and has master’s degrees from South Dakota State University and the University of North Texas.
